Let's Follow Each Other

Social Networking Site for Twitter and Facebook Enthusiasts

Have you ever tried to get somewhere in your car on an empty tank? It doesn’t work real well, does it? It’s like trying to start an online business without generating any traffic to your site. The results will be very similar – no movement. Visitors are the key to your success. The more you have, the further your business can go, and the more money you can make.

Here are 4 simple ways to get a flood of traffic to your site:

1. Articles: The Internet is driven by quality content. By writing informative articles, and linking them to your site, you’re qualifying your readers, and creating a stream of traffic that is clearly interested in more in depth information on your subject matter.

Articles are also a great way to establish your expertise in a certain area, and allow others to showcase it as well. Many articles get picked up by other publications and featured on blogs or in newsletters. When this happens, you get an instant surge of new visitors. After all, in this age of social media, nothing is more powerful on the Internet than third party verification of your expertise.

2. Videos: The popularity of this medium is exploding. It’s being used for everything now; traffic generation, sales letters, testimonials, branding, etc. At least it’s being used by many established marketers. Many new marketers shy away from videos because they feel they’re too technical to develop. The reality is that even the most non technical person can create profit producing videos in no time. For instance, you can invest in a simple software program that automatically converts your articles into videos.

The video trend is only going to get stronger in the years to come. If you don’t take advantage of this powerful traffic generator, you’re missing out on a lot of sales.

3. Twitter: It’s hard to mention the online world now without talking about this social media giant. The Twitter phenomenon has put this site in a league of its own, and savvy marketers are cashing in on their tweets.

The really nice thing about Twitter is the speed at which you can grow your followers, which leads to more traffic on your site. There are systems you can tap into which show you how to easily use this technology to explode your visitor count, literally overnight, and create a highly lucrative profit stream.

4. Forums: You’d be amazed at the traffic you can get by being active in a niche related forum. Simply post a link to your site in your signature, and then look for ways where you can add value to the forum. Answer questions posted by others. Start helpful posts which give away quality content. Start a poll, or enter into the conversation when others are debating a hot topic. While not as quick sometimes as the other methods, this is still a very reliable technique to get traffic to your site.

Traffic generation can seem like a daunting task to a new marketer. The reality is that there are simple methods you can use to create a steady flow of visitors to your site. The ones listed above are like high octane, premium fuel – extremely effective in accelerating your business growth, and moving your company forward.

Very good suggestion. I see you are practicing your own ideas. :D)

Apart from twitter, I personally think that FaceBook.com and LinkedIn.com has its valid share of providing steady flow of users/visitors.

In case of Facebook, you have to appeal your friends at more personal level and share what would be useful at that level. While LinkedIn provides an opportunity at professional level appeal and options.

Thanks for this brief but important list of traffic building factors.
